The roller extrusion granulator is generally a roller extrusion granulator or or a flat (ring) die extrusion granulator. In the processing of organic fertilizers, these granulators can add nitrogen elements as needed. Some granulators use urea as a source of nitrogen, which easily absorbs moisture from the air and binds the organic fertilizer particles together. Therefore, people often say that the extruder granulator is a dry powder granulator. Processing raw material particles with low moisture content to achieve good roundness or hardness requires necessary anti caking treatment for wet materials.
The granulation principle and moisture requirements of organic fertilizer extrusion granulator: The working principle of extrusion granulator is mainly dry powder. When fragile materials are squeezed, some particles are crushed and fine powder fills the gaps between the particles. In this case, if the newly formed free chemical bonds on the surface cannot be quickly saturated by atoms or molecules in the surrounding atmosphere, the newly formed surfaces will come into contact with each other. It will form a strong recombinant health. For roller extrusion, the roller skin has spherical grooves and is extruded into a spherical shape, while the particles extruded by the flat (ring) die are cylindrical. Extrusion granulation requires low moisture content. If the moisture content is too high, a drying system should be added to the processing technology.
The main method to avoid clumping during the granulation process of the roller extrusion granulator is to use a drying system, pre treat the material, add elements, and other means to achieve the processing and non-destructive preservation of organic fertilizer particles.
