With the large-scale development of animal husbandry, pig manure treatment has become a key link in achieving environmental standards and resource utilization. The suitable processing equipment models for pig farms of different scales vary greatly, and choosing the wrong model not only affects the processing effect, but may also increase operating costs. Today, we will introduce the models, characteristics, and applicable scenarios of mainstream pig manure treatment equipment to help you find the right equipment.




1. Solid liquid separator: Select the model according to the processing capacity



The solid-liquid separator is the core equipment for pig farm manure pretreatment, mainly separating solid impurities and liquids from manure water. The selection of models mainly depends on the processing capacity. Common models include:




Small models (daily processing capacity<50 tons): suitable for individual or household pig farms, with small size and low price, such as spiral extrusion separators with low power (about 2.2-5.5kW), which can separate manure into solid organic fertilizer raw materials and liquid wastewater. The moisture content of the separated manure residue is about 60% -70%, and it can be directly dried or composted.




Medium sized model (daily processing capacity of 50-200 tons): suitable for small and medium-sized breeding farms, such as inclined screen separators, with high separation efficiency (up to 85% or more), made of stainless steel material for corrosion prevention, capable of treating manure containing small amounts of impurities, and the separated liquid can enter biogas digesters or irrigation systems.




Large scale models (daily processing capacity>200 tons): suitable for large-scale pig farms, such as disc separators, with strong processing capacity and drier manure residue (moisture content<50%), which can be directly transported by pressing blocks. The equipment needs to be equipped with a high-pressure cleaning system to avoid blockage.




2. Biogas digesters/biogas engineering equipment: matched according to gas production needs



For pig farms that require energy recovery, biogas equipment is an important choice, and common models are classified according to gas production scale:




Household type (daily gas production<50 cubic meters): suitable for single households or small farms, such as a 20 cubic meter fiberglass biogas digester, with a semi underground design, stable gas production, and can meet household cooking gas needs. After treatment, the manure can be directly returned to the field.




Small and medium-sized projects (daily gas production of 50-500 cubic meters): suitable for pig farms with less than 500 pigs in stock, such as integrated biogas equipment, integrated fermentation, desulfurization, and pressure stabilization systems, with a fecal water retention time of about 30 days and a gas production efficiency of 0.5-0.8 cubic meters per cubic meter of raw materials, which can drive small generators for power supply.




Large scale projects (daily gas production>500 cubic meters): suitable for pig farms with a scale of over 10000 heads, using fully automatic constant temperature fermentation tanks (such as 500 cubic meters stainless steel tanks), equipped with biogas desulfurization towers and gas storage tanks. After multi-stage treatment, the manure can meet environmental emission standards, and the biogas can be integrated into the pipeline network or used for drying equipment.




3. Integrated manure treatment machine: Multi functional integrated model



Integrated equipment integrates multiple processing techniques, suitable for pig farms with limited space. Common models include:




Wet dry separation+dehydration integrated machine: such as a belt filter press, with a daily processing capacity of 10-50 tons, it can simultaneously complete solid-liquid separation and preliminary dehydration. The moisture content of the separated manure residue is less than 65%, and it can be directly packaged or composted. The liquid enters the subsequent processing unit, and the equipment occupies only 10-20 square meters.




Fermentation+fertilizer making integrated machine: such as a trough type flipping machine, with a daily processing capacity of 5-30 tons, integrating fermentation, flipping, and fertilizer making functions. After high-temperature aerobic fermentation, manure is directly made into organic fertilizer, and the whole process is closed and operates without odor, suitable for areas with high environmental requirements.




Summary: When choosing a pig manure treatment equipment model, it is necessary to first clarify the treatment objectives (solid-liquid separation/energy recovery/organic fertilizer production), pig farm scale (inventory, daily manure production), and site conditions (space size, power configuration). It is recommended to consult the equipment manufacturer for customized solutions to avoid problems such as poor treatment efficiency and idle equipment caused by mismatched models.
